The Europe-Uzbekistan Association for Economic Cooperation (EUROUZ) successfully held its 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM), bringing together over 65 members representatives. The Second EUROUZ AGM marked a significant milestone in defining the association's strategic agenda, reporting & collecting members' input on the Secretariat's work and setting priorities for the year ahead.
The meeting opened with welcoming remarks from Professor Dr. Klaus Mangold, Chairman of the EUROUZ Board, who highlighted the association's sustained growth and its role as a trusted platform fostering dialogue and cooperation between European and Uzbek stakeholders.
Oybek Shaykhov, EUROUZ Secretary General, presented a comprehensive annual report outlining key accomplishments, including the rapid expansion of the EUROUZ community, strengthened engagement with the Government of Uzbekistan and EU institutions, and ongoing internal reforms designed to enhance service delivery and member support.

Each committee presented sector-specific developments and outlined initiatives aimed at promoting global best practices, advancing regulatory improvements, and fostering cross-sector collaboration in Uzbekistan.
EUROUZ also presented an annual financial report and the budget for the upcoming year. The presentation confirmed the association's capacity to sustain and expand value-added initiatives for members.
One of the key moments of the AGM was the announcement of a new EUROUZ Board of Directors for the 2025-2026 term. The newly elected board, which will be announced separately, brings together a diverse and experienced group of professionals committed to furthering the association's mission and strengthening its institutional presence in Uzbekistan and Europe.
In recognition of their engagement, recently joined EUROUZ members were presented with official Membership Certificates, symbolizing their active role in the growing EUROUZ community.

Uzbekistan Country Profile 2025 & EUROUZ Membership Directory is a new initiative envisaged to be a comprehensive guide designed to support international investors and stakeholders by offering key data, sectoral insights, and showcase the EUROUZ network.
The 2025 Annual General Meeting reaffirmed EUROUZ's goals in advancing European business engagement in Uzbekistan, fostering public-private dialogue, and promoting long-term, sustainable economic cooperation.
