President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, by his July 28 decree, appointed Dilmurod Kasimov (former first deputy prosecutor of Samarkand province) as the Commissioner for the Protection of Rights and Legal Interests of Entrepreneurs (Business Ombudsman) under the President.
The post of the Busines Ombudsman was established by a Presidential decree in May in an intent "to enhance protection of the rights of business entities, to prevent unreasonable interference of government bodies into their activities, to reinforce legal mechanisms for protection of private property and to ensure the principle of priority of the rights of businesses".
