5 hectares of land on the shore of Kerkidon reservoir in Fergana’s Kuva district province have been put up for sale with the condition of investing in tourist facilities, the Tourism Development Committee said.

The land plots are being sold in pursuance of the Cabinet of Ministers' Dec. 3, 2018 Measures for Development of Ecotourism Resolution.

Therea re a total of 12 lots. It is planned to build hotels, motels, resorts, entertainment facilities, restaurants, facilities for water sports, a beach area and a pier. The total cost of the complex is 27.8 billion soums (2.7 billion USD).

The land plots are located 12.7 km from the center of Kuva district on the Fergana-Andijan highway and 34.1 km from Fergana.

The auction, according to the press service, is scheduled to end on July 29.

Part of Kerkidon reservoir’s shore passed to Uzbekistan after a demarcation deal was inked with the Kyrgyz authorities as per which the countries exchanged territories.
