In Q1 of 2021, Uzbekistan exported US$ 637.7 million worth of textile products to 54 countries. That’s $ 174.9 million more than in the same period of 2020, the Statistics Committee said in a report.
Reportedly, a total of 5,080 textile enterprises produced 11.5 trillion soums worth of goods. At present, about 60% of the country's textile products are exported.
The sector grew by 19.1% compared to the same period last year.
Fergana (15%), Kashkadarya (9.8%) and Tashkent (9.1%) provinces have the highest share in the total volume of items produced by textile enterprises in the country.

For information, in 2020, Uzbekistan exported textile products worth $ 1.9 billion to 70 foreign countries. In 2020, the largest share of Uzbek textiles was exported to Russia (US$ 655.5 million), China (US$ 438.2), Kyrgyzstan (US$ 283.9) and Turkey (US$ 206.1).
