The Government of Uzbekistan in 2018-2019 plans to attract $200 million in a loan from Turkish Ziraat Bank for construction and reconstruction of affordable multi-storied housing in Uzbekistan's cities.

on October 23, 2017 President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the Additional Measures for effective implementation of affordable housing construction and reconstruction Program in cities for 2017-2020 Decree.

According to the document, Uzbekistan plans to receive two tranches of $ 100 million in 2018 and 2019.

The decree notes that in 2018-2020, Uzbekistan intends to build 1,045 houses with 43,400 apartments. 490 in Tashkent, 120 in Tashkent province and 48 in Samarkand province.

For construction of housing, the Government of Uzbekistan plans to attract a total of $ 1.28 billion from foreign lenders.

In particular, Uzbekistan plans to attract $ 700 million from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), $ 300 million from the Islamic Development Bank, $ 30 million from the Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAER) and $ 50 million from the Saudi Fund for Development (SFR).
