The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is reviewing financing of two more projects in Uzbekistan.

Imkon Plus, an ice cream producer in Uzbekistan applied for a US$10 million loan from the EBRD.

The cash will be used to expand distribution network, as well as refrigeration and processing facilities for frozen fruits and vegetables. Total project cost is US$13.5 million. It is expected that the EBRD will provide a loan in two tranches.

The EBRD is also reviewing an application from Hamkorbank for a US$20 million loan to support small and medium-sized businesses (MSME), and for trade finance.
