The National Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Uzbekistan and the Export-Import Bank of Africa (Afreximbank) signed a US$ 50 million worth of trade finance agreement Wednesday.
The document was signed as part of the state visit of the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to Uzbekistan.
The agreement provides for cooperation with Afreximbank on trade finance for exports of goods and services from the Arab Republic of Egypt and other African countries to Uzbekistan. Currently the main export items from Egypt are pharmaceuticals, agricultural products, household chemicals.
