Starting from February 25, 2019, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan will issue a new 100,000 soum banknote, СBU said in a statement.
The 144×78 mm banknote printed on protected paper will have internationally acceptable features such as watermark and security thread with 3D-effect, - the statement added.
The banknote is dedicated to the scholar Mirzo-Ulugbek, with his portrait and the solar system on the front side, with his Samarkand observatory depicted on the side.
New banknotes along with all other banknotes already in circulation must be accepted at face value for all payments by all entities and public without any restrictions.
