Tashkent will host a ministerial meeting in the 6+1 format in mid-April, announced the special envoy of the Russian president for Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov, Sputnik reported.

According to Kabulov, the format of the "expanded troika" (Russia, the United States, China, Pakistan) no longer exists "due to the unscrupulous policy course pursued by the United States, which tried to use it in their own selfish interests."

In his opinion, countries of the region that respect each other with a common approach, which are in close proximity to Afghanistan and are vitally interested in stabilizing the situation in the country, have gathered "in the 6 + 1 format, which contributes to the high efficiency of this format."

Once, the 6+1 format included Russia, the USA, Pakistan, India, China, Iran and Afghanistan.
