President Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a government meeting dedicated to discussing the social protection and priority tasks for 2025 via conference call Friday.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev underscored that in order to drag 1.2 million people out of poverty next year, it was necessary to resolve issues of education, vocational training, medicine and improving living conditions.

For this, additional opportunities will be created for the education of children from low-income families. 118 thousand young people will be trained in foreign languages, IT and professional skills.

Up to 80% of parents' expenses for these classes, launched on March 1, will be subsidized from the budget. It is planned to contribute 200 billion soums from the state budget to fulfill these tasks.

In 2025, 3,500 such children will be able to enter universities on a grant basis.

The meeting also discussed issues of supporting people with disabilities. The level of rehabilitation in 33 districts was extremely low. The president ordered to organize rehabilitation services in each provinceal and district hospital. Financing for occupational therapy, physiotherapy and therapeutic exercise in 12 rehabilitation centers will be increased fivefold. Rehabilitation departments will be opened in 7 medical universities, and teachers will undergo retraining based on the experience of Korea.

Currently, the list of prostheses and rehabilitation equipment has been increased from 18 to 30 items, and their funding has increased by 1.5 times. Next year, it is planned to add another 7 types of equipment to the list, meeting the needs of 80 thousand people.

This year, businesses have employed 40 thousand people with disabilities. From January, the social tax rate for such enterprises will be 1%. Enterprises will also be provided with subsidies of up to 50 million soums for the services of sign language interpreters, psychologists and accompanying persons for visually impaired employees.

Private employment agencies that train and employ people with disabilities will be able to receive grants of up to 500 million soums. These companies will identify those willing to work, train them, adapt them to the requirements of the enterprise and accompany them during the first 6 months of work.

“My big goal is that we must adapt children with disabilities to a regular school, adapt them to life. The child’s worldview, opinion, faith in life will change, he will forget about diseases. We must prepare the environment. Let all the governors and mayors of provinces and districts study the experience of the Taylak district and implement it in every school. 90% of children with disabilities attend regular schools and continue their education. This is our great victory. The victory of society,” the head of state said.

“Imagine the joy of parents whose children go to a regular school. They will have faith that their child will also receive knowledge and will serve this country, nation and homeland,” he underscored. At the same meeting, the president announced that the state budget will cover 75% of the costs of transporting children with limited mobility to and from school. The president also instructed to open one inclusive education group in kindergartens in each district and create inclusive classes in 954 schools.
