Roodell has been charged for failure to comply with advertising laws, the Competition Development and Consumer Protection Committee said.
Reportedly, the company in an ad offered "a Kia Sonet model in 0% BNPL scheme." While, there was no information about the essential contract terms, including additional fees, which contradicts the Article 43 of the Advertising Law.
"As a result, consumers had a misleading idea and were to make decisions based on false information," the committee added.
A special commission of the committee opened a case and fined Roodell. In addition, directives were given to rectify violations and prevent them in the future.
Roodell is the owner of the ADM Jizzakh plant, which assembles and manufactures Kia, Chery, Haval and Hyundai Truck & Bus cars.
The Competition Committee called on all entities to “provide accurate, transparent and objective information, especially in ads.”
