In February the decline in imports of conventional cars and EVs was slower to January (21-fold), which was quite a fall. February imports were by 1.4 times higher than in January.
This picture may indicate that private, alien and non-familiar competitors will be kicked out of imports market and that all channels have now passed into the hands of corporate monopolies, whoe are owned by high level politicians through their proxies.
The imports of hybrid cars, EVs, diapers and toothbrushes will be handled through classified regulations.
While, Uzbekistan has also introduced mandatory state registration for imported diapers.
The list of items subject to state registration also includes:
- pacifiers for children;
- headwear for children under 3 years old;
- clothing for children under 3 years old - pajamas, pants, trousers, warm shirts (sweatshirts), undershirts (slips), T-shirts, diapers, hats, sliders, short shirts (blouses), underwear, undershirts and similar clothing;
- tights, socks, stockings and knee-highs, as well as similar clothing for children under 3 years of age;
- multi-layer products that absorb moisture (diapers), as well as cotton swabs for hygiene (for cleaning the nose and ears) and similar products for children;
- tableware for feeding children under 3 years of age;
- toothbrushes.
Last year in October, the President Mirziyoyev said that the country must complete the joining process to the WTO by the organization's annual meeting in 2026.
