On December 20-23 Beijing hosted the regular meeting of the Council of National Coordinators of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Representatives of Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan discussed the important aspects of the organization's activities, including those related to preparing for the next meeting of the Council of Heads of Member States in Astana and other activities in the framework of Kazakhstan's SCO chairmanship.
The meeting heard the information about the completion of required internal procedures for the entry into force of the memorandum signed at Tashkent summit on obligations of India and Pakistan to obtain the SCO membership.
National coordinators also exchanged views on other issues of the agenda of the SCO, Uzbek Foreign ministry said.
