The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has accepted the invitation of the President of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae-in and will pay a state visit to South Korea on December 16-18, the presidential press service said.
Seoul will host meetings and negotiations at the highest level, during which the two leaders will explore the ways to strengthen the Uzbek-Korean special strategic partnership ties, expand multifaceted cooperation.
The counterparts are expected to focus on the promotion of programs and projects, primarily in the areas of the green economy, digitalization, innovation and high technologies, education, healthcare and other priority areas.
The President of Uzbekistan will also meet with the leadership of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, senior executives of the largest Korean companies and banking and financial institutions.
Solid package of bilateral documents is envisaged to be signed during the visit.
