The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov was dismissed from his post due to the transfer to another job, the president’s spokesman Sherzod Asadov said.

According to him, Abdulaziz Kamilov, who served as Foreign Minister, was appointed Deputy Secretary of the Security Council under the President in charge of Foreign Policy and Security, replacing Bobur Usmanov, who was appointed Deputy Director of the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies.

On March 29, the press service of the Foreign Ministry said that Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov had been undergoing treatment abroad.

Recently, in various meetings and events, Uzbekistan was represented by Deputy PM/Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov.
