Uzbekistan expresses serious concern over the aggravation of the situation in East Jerusalem, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
We call on the parties to refrain from escalating the tensions and take all necessary steps to swiftly resolve the conflict, the statement added.
The Palestinian-Israeli problem must be resolved in line with the norms of international law, on the basis of the earlier adopted resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and on the Two State Solution.
We call on the parties to show restraint and political will to resolve the conflict through dialogue and diplomacy.
