Samarkand will host the EU-Central Asia ministerial meeting and the international conference: EU-Central Asia interdependence: Global gateways for sustainable development on November 17-18.
Foreign ministers of Central Asian countries, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Joseph Borrell, high-ranking officials of EU member states, international financial institutions, private sector, expert circles, representatives of civil society will attedn the events.
Within the framework of the ministerial meeting, it is planned to discuss the ways to further develop cooperation between the countries of Central Asia and the countries of the EU in the fields of economy, trade, investment, environment, water resources, climate, combating modern risks and threats. Maiden European Union-Central Asia Youth Forum will be held as part of the event.
The international conference is aimed at developing cooperation between the European Union and Central Asian countries in order to develop agreed measures to promote sustainable interdependence, support green development and eliminate the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, in accordance with the Global Gateway initiative of the European Union.
