President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit Tajikistan on March 9-10. According to Aziya-Plyus, during Shavkat Mirziyoyev's first visit to Dushanbe he will be awarded the title of the honorary doctor of the National University of Tajikistan. The President will meet with the University professors and students.

Deputy Chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan Aydarbek Tulepov has been dismissed, a source in the government said. Aidarbek Tulepov who had served as the deputy head of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, since February 2006 has been reportedly dismissed “at his own request”. While, the chairman (mufti) Usmonkhon Alimov and his deputy Azizjon Mansurov (Abdulaziz Mansur) are keeping their posts. According to some reports Aidarbek Tulepov has been assigned by security services to oversee the religious affairs.
