For the first time Uzbekistan national team will play a friendly match against Uruguay, the Uzbekistan Football Association reported. The match will also be the first match for the White Wolves against a World Cup winner.
The match will reportedly take place in the capital of Uruguay, Montevideo on June 7. Uruguay is placed in group A of the 2018 World Cup with Russia, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
Previously, the sides played only at U-20 level in U-20 World Cup in 2011, in which Uzbekistan lost 0-3.
Uzbekistan will also hold friendly games against Senegal on March 23 and Iran on May 15.
