Uzbekistan was a better side for the most of the first half against Senegal’s experimental line-up, with Sadio Mané, Moussa Sow and Mbaye Niang on the bench and even managed to open the score through Shukurov’s penalty 19 min into the game.
Very sure of their game, the Uzbeks countered all the attempts of the Senegalese, who were far from being dangerous.
