Uzbekistan lost to Morocco 0-2 in their second friendly match in 5 days. Timur Kopadze made 11 changes to the first match against Senegal. The match began in a low note for the Uzbeks when Ayoub El Kaabi opened the score in the 3rd min of the match, his first goal in the national team.
Morocco largely dominated the first half. Uzbekistan had lttle of possesion in the first half and left the game to the Moroccans. Amine Harit was the most active. He tried to combine with Yacine Bammou on the right or with Ayoub El Kaabi in the center, with meager attempts to breakthrough by the Uzbeks, the central hinge composed of Marouane Da Costa and Ghanem Saiss was inpenetrable.
In the 42nd minute of play Faycal Fajr strikes a free kick which was deviated by the Uzbek goalkeeper Eldor Soynov to corner. On the corner Marouane Da Costa jumped higher than everyone and scored the second goal of the match. This is once again a maiden international goal in 24 caps for the central defender who moved to Istanbul Başakşehir in Turkey.
Hervé Renard made new changes, with Ahmed Reda Tagnaouti and Soufiane Boufal made their entry. Uzbekistan was trying hard to launch some offensives during the second half, and had more possesion than in the first, however made not a single attempt on goal. The match ended 2-0.
