Uzbekistan’s home based players defeated Russian Premier league’s FC Amkar in a friendly match in Turkey on February 10. The only goal on 20 minutes was scored by the White Wolves striker, Igor Sergeyev, the press service of the Uzbekistan Football Federation said.
Currently preparing for the 2018 Russia World Cup qualifiers on March 23 and 28 against Syria and Qatar, Uzbekistan will be holding a training camp in Belek, Turkey without foreign based players, until 13 February. On Sunday, the national team will play against Armenian FC Alashkert.
