President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev today hosted the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, the Kyrgyz Presidency site reports.
During the meeting, which was also attended by the Kyrgyz PM Sooronbay Jeenbekov, were discussed topical bilateral affairs in various areas.
Almazbek Atambayev noted the great contribution of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to strengthening of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek ties and expressed confidence that Abdulla Aripov’s visit will give a “new impetus to the further development of bilateral relations which are based on the traditions of friendship and good-neighborliness, the principles of mutually beneficial partnership”.
Abdulla Aripov conveyed greetings from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to President Almazbek Atambayev and informed of the readiness of the country's leadership to pursue the line aimed at strengthening the friendly and good-neighborly relations between the two countries.
Almazbek Atambayev wished successful holding of the intergovernmental commissions on bilateral cooperation and on state boundary delimitation and demarcation, given the political will for resolving the existing problems through consistent constructive dialogue.
