President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit China on June 8-10, to attend the 18th meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State in Qingdao, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
The leaders of the SCO countries, who will be meeting for the first time since the accession of India and Pakistan, will discuss promising areas for improving the organization's activities, regional security issues, the ways to expand economic and investment cooperation and other aspects of multilateral cooperation.
Following the meeting, the Qingdao Declaration is expected to be adopted, as well as the Cooperation Program Against Terrorism, Separatism and Extremism for 2019-2021, the Action Plan for 2018-2022 to implement the provisions of the Treaty on Long-term Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation, Joint Address to Youth and other accords.
On the margins of the summit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev is scheduled to hold a number of bilateral meetings and talks.
