The chief of the Uzbek Security Service, Ikhtiyor Abdulloev, arrived at Dushanbe airport, where he was welcomed by the head of the Tajik National Security Committee, Saymumin Yatimov, the committee said.
The counterparts will reportedly discuss cooperation in combating international terrorism, protecting the state border, exchanging information.
Cooperation Agreement between the State Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the State National Security Committee of the Republic of Tajikistan is expected to be signed following the talks.
The Uzbek security chief also will visit the construction site of the Rogun HPP and familiarize himself with the construction of the facility.
