The first trade house in France, UzFranceTrade opened Friday in Paris, Dunyo (Uzbek foreign ministry news agency) reported. UzFranceTrade aims to promote the exports of Uzbek products to France and other EU countries.
Trade house hosts a show room which will feature a wide range of Uzbekistan made products.
The opening ceremony featured a meeting between the Uzbek delegation and the French business executives, at which the issues of promotion of Uzbek agricultural and textile products were discussed. The parties agreed to step up cooperation by supporting businesses.
The ceremony was marked by signing of agreements for supply of textile products to the EU worth US$ 1 million, as well as the deal to supply the first 100-ton batch of dried fruits to the French market.
