President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a condolences message to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hassan Ruhani in connection with flash floods in several provinces of the country, which led to many human deaths and left several people missing.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed his condolences to the President and the people of Iran, as well as to the families and friends of the decesed, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
Following heavy rains, the rivers that flow into Lake Urmia came out of the banks. Streams of water carried away bridges, destroyed communications and damaged transport in five provinces of the country. The death toll exceeded 40 people, with 22 people missing.
