President Shavkat Mirziyoyev today visited the business aviation airport project in Kibray district of Tashkent province, the president’s press service reported.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev with his June 2017 decree had launched the initiative to develop business aviation in Uzbekistan.
The project, designed for 2018-2020, will be implemented in two phases –a 4 km long runway and 250 passenger per hour terminal will be built in phase I, with auxiliary infrastructure facilities and a hotel to be completed in phase II. Apart from that, all required facilities for large cargo planes will be created at the airport.
Design and general civil works are currently underway, and the old runway is being dismantled. Shavkat Mirziyoyev familiarizes himself with the works progress and gave instructions to improve the project.
