Coca-Cola Ichimligi Uzbekiston joint venture is being prepared for privatization on an open bidding, the State Asset Management Agency said in a statement.
“It is planned to engage international financial institutions, foreign investment intermediaries and audit companies into this process,” the statement says.
Coca-Cola Ichimligi Uzbekiston JV was established in 1993. Currently, 57.118% of the company is owned by Uzbekozikovkatholding, a government entity, and 42.882% by The Coca-Cola Export Corporation (USA). The company owns three plants in the country: in Tashkent, in Namangan and in Urgench.
The privatization of Coca-Cola Uzbekistan has been planned since 2018, but never took place.
