Uzbekistan ups the ceiling for the government external borrowing for 2020 to US$ 5.5 billion. The deputies of Legislative Chamber reviewed amending the State Budget for 2020 Law.
It became known that this year the value of newly signed loan deals on behalf of Uzbekistan (government) or under the guarantee of the government is projected to top US$ 5.5 billion.
Earlier, the ceiling was set at US$ 4 billion.
“The ceiling had to be upped due to government anti-coronavirus spending,” said one of the MPs.
