The Japanese H.I.S. Holdings is considering to buy a stake in one of the Uzbekistan banks. This was discussed at the meeting of the Uzbek Deputy PM/Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade, Sardor Umurzakov, with the CEO & Executive President at H.I.S., Hideo Sawada, the ministry said in a statement.
“The parties outlined further actions for the implementation of this project and worked out various investment mechanisms,” the statement noted.
The parties also set priorities for further cooperation and confirmed readiness to continue close cooperation in order to expand the presence of the Japanese holding in the Uzbek market.
The topical aspects issues of the company's investment in Uzbekistan were also discussed, with significant progress noted in the implementation of projects, in particular - the project of a hotel complex at A. Qodiri park in Tashkent. The hotel is expected to be commissioned in 2021.
Taking into account the significant experience of the company, the parties also considered the perspectives for implementing new hotel projects in Samarkand and Bukhara cities.
