The German KfW Development Bank plans to зкўмшву up to 200 million euros for the renovation and construction of drinking water and sewage systems in Fergana province.
The Fergana province governor Khairulla Bozorov hosted a delegation led by Lea Teresa Stuff, Project Information Manager of KfW Development Bank.
The parties discussed the for the Fergana province drinking water and sewage systems renovation and construction project, developed by the German Development Bank KfW. The project will receive a grant of 49 million euros from the German Development Bank, and a 15-year soft loan of up to 150 million euros, depending on the project price. KfW will also provide a grant of 3 million euros for the preparation of the design and evaluation document.
Within the framework of this project, it is planned to reconstruct and build sewage treatment plants in the cities of Kokand and Margilan, as well as serving the surrounding cities and districts, and drinking water systems in these areas on the basis of modern technologies.
Currently, the project is in the process of coordination with the relevant ministries and agencies of the republic.
Executives of the German Development Bank KfW will visit the cities of Kokand and Margilan today to get acquainted with the existing drinking water and sewage systems.
