Starting October 1, Uzbekistan will implement a new system to automatically update personal data across the information networks of all government agencies. This measure is outlined in a presidential decree signed on July 15.
Whenever an individual changes their last name, first name, patronymic, date of birth, or other vital records, government bodies will automatically receive the updated information via an interagency electronic data exchange network. Agencies will then seamlessly update the records within their own databases.
Furthermore, identity documents will be reissued based on a digital certificate verifying the change in personal data, which citizens can easily obtain through the Single Portal of Interactive Public Services (My.gov.uz).
By November 1, government entities are also instructed to implement a proactive system that automatically lifts administrative freezes or liens on real estate and motor vehicles the moment the underlying loans are fully repaid.
This rollout follows a directive issued in May by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who ordered a sweeping reduction in bureaucratic red tape across public services, urging agencies to pivot toward proactive service delivery models.
