On January 20, Uzbek Foreign Minister, Abdulaziz Kamilov received the EU Special Representative for Central Asia, Peter Burian.
As the continuation of the Dec 9, 2016 dialogue in the framework of the OSCE Foreign Ministers Council meeting, the sides discussed topical issues of the bilateral agenda.
The sides also discussed the substantive issues to advance relations between Uzbekistan and the EU in political, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian and other areas and implementation of the EU Strategy for a New Partnership with Central Asia, prospects for improving its effectiveness.
The sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues.
