As previously reported, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on January 20-21 visited the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
The Head of our State on the second day of the Karakalpakstan visit went to the site of the future polymer plant in Nukus city. Annually 8,000 tons of polyethylene pipes, packaging materials are to be manufactured at this plant. The plant will be equipped with modern technology and create over a hundred jobs.
Also the President got acquainted with the project of the plant for production of modern transformers, components for photovoltaic plants, automatic electricity meters. The equipment for the plant will be brought from Japan, Switzerland, Italy.
It was emphasized that these facilities are required to be commissioned by the 26th anniversary of independence of Uzbekistan.
The President got acquainted with the construction process of these plants, talked to contractors and builders, and wished them good luck in the completion of these important projects.
The Head of State inspected the renovated Nukus railway station. He noted that it is necessary to create additional convenience for passengers and improve services.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the construction site of a school for gifted children named after Ibroyim Yusupov. He instructed to improve the school’s project, in particular he suggested to create an area in front of school and erect a monument to the national poet of Uzbekistan and Karakalpakstan, I. Yusupov. He also instructed to launch a mini-printing shop within the school, and to translate and publish various literature.
Our President visited the Nukus branch of the Pediatric Medical Institute, where a multidisciplinary clinic for children, playground and hotel are being built. He recommended to create at the Institute of the truly scientific atmosphere, study international experience, launch cooperation with international clinics, conduct effective protection of mothers and children.
Our President got acquainted with the project of reconstruction of Ernazar Olakuz street. This main street will be expanded, with more convenience for traffic, with multi-storey residential buildings, retail and consumer facilities to be built.
The Head of State also visited the Imam Muhammad Eshon mosque, talked to elders, where they talked about honoring the elderly people, education of young generation. Following which the President Shavkat Mirziyoev completed his Karakalpakstan visit and departed to Tashkent.
