On the ocassion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and the United States of America, the Presidents Donald Trump and Shavkat Mirziyoyev exchanged congratulatory messages, a statement of the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan said.
The President Trump in his message noted: "On February 19 the United States and Uzbekistan celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. We can be proud of what has been achieved in our relations. "
"In the coming years, I hope to work with You on promoting our common goals in the field of regional security and stability. The United States support the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Uzbekistan and its neighbors, as well as Your efforts to build a prosperous Central Asia", - it stated in the message.
In his congratulatory message the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that "over the past period we have managed to substantially strengthen the foundation of friendship and partnership, and our multifaceted cooperation has acquired become intensive and comprehensive."
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that the fundamental principles and framework of the country’s foreign policy remain unwavering. Uzbekistan is firmly committed to the preservation of continuity, consistent deepening and dynamic development of comprehensive relations with the United States.
In his message the President Mirziyoyev expressed interest in the long-term presence of U.S. businesses and expansion of investment and technological cooperation with leading corporations and U.S. companies.
President of Uzbekistan stressed that the deepening of relations in the spirit of strategic partnership based on the principles of mutual understanding, respect and mutual benefit serves the fundamental interests of the peoples of Uzbekistan and the United States.
