The concept of Health Insurance Bill will be prepared in Uzbekistan by the autumn, this follows from the Presidential Decree "On measures to further boost the private healthcare sector".
It is planned that the future law will provide for universal and mandatory coverage of each citizen by medical insurance system.
It will fix the equal right of every citizen for medical services, and guarantees for getting high quality medical services in accordance with the insurance certificate.
The law will also set out the legal framework for voluntary and compulsory health insurance, regulate the medical services rates and mechanisms for regulating the size of insurance liabilities, insurance premiums and payments.
The Mandatory Medical Insurance Fund is to be created for the management of health insurance funds.
