The State Inspection Board for Quality Control of Road Construction Works under the Cabinet of Ministers has been established in Uzbekistan.
On March 31, the Government of Uzbekistan issued a resolution "On establishment of the State Inspection Board for Quality Control of Road Construction Works under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan".
The main tasks of the inspection board are:
- control over observance by legal and natural persons of the requirements of regulatory documents in the field of technical regulation over road construction, manufacture of road construction materials, auxiliary and structures;
- participation in acceptance commissions of completed road facilities;
- making proposals and participation in the improvement of regulatory documentation in the field of technical regulation on monitoring over the observance of urban-planning legislation in the part of road construction;
- carrying out works on standardization and certification of road-building materials, auxiliary and structures.
According to the approved structure of the inspection board, 26 state inspectors shall on regular basis monitor the quality of road construction works in Karakalpakstan, provinces and Tashkent city.
