Following the criticism by the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev towards Uzbek channels during the April 4 videoconference meeting with government officials and senior executives, “Uzbekistan” channel on April 12, broadcast an analytical television program "Dialogue and Interest", during which the problems in the activities of the Uzbek automotive industry were discussed.
In the program participated the executives of automotive industry, an official of the Competition Committeee, the program was moderated by an official of the President’s Office. They discussed unfair conditions when drafting purchase contract and existence of defects in vehicles.
In particular the program addressed the problems related with concluding vehicle purchase contracts and making payment for them, including using bank cards and loans.
Also, issues of non-observance by the officilas and retailers of the Uzbek automotive industry of the dealines of providing the vehicles to owners and violation of consumers rights were also discussed.
