Bakhtiyor Abdusamatov, who headed the Committee for Nature Protection since December 2013, has been appointed as khokim (mayor) of the Yunusabad district, the mayor’s office announced.
Baktiyor Abdusamatov (born in 1976) graduated from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (1996) and Tashkent Economic University (2003). In 2011-2013 he was the Deputy Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of Uzbekistan.
Previous Yunusabad khokim, Miragsam Mirkasimov was fired in late March. He had served in this position since October 2016.
