On 19 April 2017, Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the protocol modifying the Intergovernmental Convention for the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income and capital between Uzbekistan and the Netherlands of 18 October 2001.
The Convention was signed in The Hague in the framework of the visit to the Netherlands of Uzbekistan delegation headed by the chairman of the State Tax Committee Botir Parpiev.
The protocol modifies the Convention to meet international standards of tax transparency.
Uzbek President instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to send notification to the Netherlands on completion of internal procedures, necessary for the document to take effect.
