A delegation of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, headed by Zeid bin Ra'ad al-Hussein (the High Commissioner) will reportedly pay an official visit to Uzbekistan on May 10-12, 2017.
The purpose of the visit is to discuss the current state of cooperation between Uzbekistan and OHCHR, as well as possible areas for future cooperation, in fields of that may be of mutual interest.
It should be noted that Uzbekistan is the first country in the Central Asia that Zeid bin Ra'ad al-Hussein is to visit since appointment to the post.
