President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during his Yashnabad district visit on Saturday made an unannounced visit to the family polyclinic №32, Akhborot news program on Uzbekistan TV channel reported.
Presidential trips are usually announced and made on pre-prepared route. Instead of the announced visit to the central district polyclinic, the President made a surprise visit to the 32nd family polyclinic. This hasn’t been the first that Shavkat Mirziyoyev has made changes to the route.
"It seems that the polyclinic ’s staff was totally taken by surprise... It is evident that in this facility the medical service is failing to deliver despite recent reforms," - the report said showing the dire state of the polyclinic.
As UzA reported, the Head of State, accompanied by the Health Minister, Tashkent mayor and other leaders, gave instructions to promptly eliminate the deficiencies, repair the facility and improve medical service.
The polyclinic delivers medical care to a makhalla (local neighborhood) with a population of 27.2 thousand people.
The President also met with the residents of the mahalla, where the polyclinic is located.
