Today the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the invitation of the President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping has departed for China on a state visit on May 11-13, 2017.
According to the chief of the Presidential press service Asad Khojayev, in the framework of the visit Uzbekistan and China are expected to sign about 100 accords worth US$ 20 billion.
Also following the high-level talks a Joint Statement and a number of intergovernmental, inter-agency and other documents aimed at deepening Uzbek-Chinese ties in various fields will be signed.
On May 14-15 Shavkat Mirziyoyev will take part in the One Belt, One Way for International Cooperation Forum in Beijing.
