Following his visits to Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi gave an interview to journalists.

According to China’s state news agency Xinhua, during Wang Yi’s visit to Uzbekistan, the parties agreed to use the agreement reached by the heads of the two states as a guide to deepening mutual political trust and strengthening the conjugation of development strategies.

The parties agreed to promote high-quality cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative and bring the annual two-way trade to $10 billion in the near future.

“Wang Yi also voiced China’s support for Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO,” the agency said.
