The President Mirziyoyev signed the Limiting Greenhouse Gas Emissions Bill into Law Monday.
According to the Law, measures to limit greenhouse gas emissions include:
- keeping record by the state;
- setting target figures;
- supporting reducetion of greenhouse gas emissions and increase their retaining.
Also, according to the Law, legal entities, businesses and individuals have the right to implement green projects.
Information on green projects shall be added to the carbon units register.
In addition, the Law provides for the verification of carbon units generated as a result of the implementation of a green project, indicated in the report on the implementation of the green project.
