Uzbek Defense Minister Bakhodir Kurbanov hosted a military delegation headed by Tajik Defense Minister Sherali Mirzo, who arrived in Tashkent on an official visit, the Defense Ministry said.
During the meeting, the sides noted that "bilateral cooperation had risen to an unprecedented level not only in the political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, but also in the field of defense and security."
As a result of the negotiations, an addendum was signed on organizing the training of Tajik military personnel in military universities in Uzbekistan.
Then the guests, accompanied by Minister of Defense Bakhodir Kurbanov, got acquainted with the activities of the National Center for Defense Control of Uzbekistan.
Earlier on August 4, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan conducted Commonwealth-2022 joint military exercises in Termez.
