On March 18, the body of blogger Asal Khodjaeva, known as Asalhoney, was found in her Tashkent apartment on Makhtumkuli Street in the Yashnabad district of Tashkent.
According to the press service of the Tashkent City Courts, on August 9, the Shaykhantakhur District Court for Criminal Cases sentenced the murderer of the Asalhoney blogger.
A 25-year-old boy from the Khorezm province was found guilty under Premeditated murder and Robbery charges of the Criminal Code.
The court sentenced him to 16.5 years in prison.
In addition, the legal representatives of the deceased will receive 10.2 million soums from the bank account of Asal Khodjaeva. The defendant will have to pay damages in the amount of 20.8 million soums.
In the summer of 2021, the charged man met Asalhoney via the Internet. For the date, he had to pay 300 US dollars. However, he did not have the money and in February 2022 he contacted Asalhoney again. At the same time, the blogger began to curse and insult him.
After that, Karimbergan decided to “revenge”, rob her and found her address through social networks.
“The knife was in my right hand. She wanted to run away, but I immediately stabbed her in the abdomen. She fell and screamed. I put away the knife here and started to choke her,” he told investigators.
After the murder, the suspect stole property worth 31 million soums. He also transferred 1 million soums from Asalhoney bank card to his own card and spent this money on online bets. At the same time, the man spent the whole night with the dead Asal Khodjaeva in the apartment.
