Uzbeks will be able to access Google sites faster now that Google Global Cache (GGC) service soon to be available in Uzbekistan, UzbekTelecom announced Wednesday after talks with a GGC delegation.
Representatives of Google Dave Schwartz and Ian Cleary demonstrated the capabilities of GGC which allows users to store content from Google services such as Gmail and YouTube on local servers, in this case those of the state telecommunications company UzbeTelecom.
This will improve Uzbek users’ experience with Google webpages, with the most notable improvement being in loading YouTube videos.
