Tashkent International Airport received 1,000 new baggage carts from the German manufacturer Wanzl. Carts were delivered to the departure and arrival halls, the press service of Uzbekistan Airports said.
“A month ago, a difficult situation with baggage carts occurred at the Tashkent airport. Without prior notice and in violation of the contract, the private company Abadiya Trade refused to provide this service and removed all of its baggage carts. The Uzbekistan Airports had to bring some of carts from provincial airports to Tashkent, as well as order a batch of carts from a local manufacturer in a short time,” the report says.
Currently, the airport is fully equipped with its own baggage carts. In the near future, new carts will also be delivered to all regional airports, the company noted.
